Today we carried on the tradition of delivering harvest parcels to members of the Horsmonden community. The recipients were thrilled to see the children and very grateful for their kindness and generosity.

Innovation Week was drawn to a close in style with children and staff dressing up in ‘innovation themed’ costumes as well as revealing the winners of our Innovation Competition. What a fantastic week full of fun, creativity and enthusiasm that brought the whole school together while celebrating STEM.
Year 4 have been learning about The Mayans and took a trip to Temper Temper to learn about cocoa beans and where they originate from. While there they enjoyed experimenting with chocolate and making their own delicious creations!
Innovation Week continues at Horsmonden Primary Academy and today the children experienced the Wonderdome. They travelled to space and saw the whole solar system up close. It was an awe inspiring day where all children took a step closer to experiencing space travel.

Thank you to Nick Corston from Steam Co for an amazing day of innovation and creativity. The children were inspired by tales of Elon Musk which led to them building and launching rockets as well as making their own creative inventions. Remember to ‘aim higher’ and ‘read, read, read’ everyone!
