Parent Update – 19th December

Dear Parents 

It has been an incredibly busy term, particularly over these last few weeks as we’ve raced toward the Christmas break! The festive spirit has been in full swing, and it’s been wonderful to see everyone enjoying the celebrations.

This week, our children shone in a variety of performances, including the KS2 Carol Service, the EYFS Nativity, “Camel-Ama-Ding-Dong,” and our Rocksteady and Christmas Music concerts. Providing these opportunities is vital for helping children discover their passions and build self-assurance. Even for those who feel less comfortable in the spotlight, performing builds resilience and teaches valuable life skills. A huge thank you to all the parents for your support – whether by attending the shows or providing the costumes and props that made these productions such a success.

FoHPS Christmas Capers 

“Christmas Capers” was a resounding success! The children had a wonderful time crafting beautiful gifts, visiting Father Christmas in his magical grotto, and picking out surprises for their families at the Christmas Present Fair. It was a truly festive day, made possible by the incredible hard work of our FoHPS Committee and volunteers.

We are so grateful to everyone who helped with the preparations and volunteered on the day. The children of Horsmonden are incredibly fortunate to have such a dedicated group of parents giving their time to create these memories while raising vital funds. Since September, the new committee has raised an astonishing £10,725.44! This is a phenomenal achievement; a huge thank you to our FoHPS Chair, Cicely, and the entire team for their tireless efforts.

On behalf of everyone at Leigh Academy Horsmonden, I would like to wish you all a wonderful Christmas that’s full of family fun and happiness.
