When learning about the concept of causation, Year 1 saw first hand how quickly fires can spread with the right conditions. This brought to life their prior knowledge and understanding of The Great Fire of London in 1666.
Year 4 have designed their own sustainable homes when considering how to make Horsmonden Village more sustainable for the future. Their designs include features such as wind turbines, solar panels, vertical gardens, compatible toilets and improved insulation just to name a few. Great job Year 4!

Year 1 enjoyed their trip to Tunbridge Wells Fire Station where they explored the fire engines and learned about the tools and equipment used to put out fires. Thank you to the fire station staff for making it such a fun and informative morning for everyone.
Year 1 children enjoyed taking their learning to the Forest School this morning, specifically baking bread over an open fire. Thank you to the parents who volunteered to support the children, your help is greatly appreciated.
The EYFS Classroom was transformed into an archeological dig site last week where children had fun excavating dinosaur bones.
Year 4 children enjoyed finding out about our wonderful village as part of their inquiry into communities and why they are formed. It was a fantastic morning spent walking around Horsmonden where the children behaved impeccably and thoroughly enjoyed learning about the history of our wonderful village.
