Thank you to Roger Hulbert for leading our Remembrance Service where we remembered all the brave souls who lost their lives to protect our futures. Our wonderful Year 6 children shared their thoughtfully written poems and the whole school community joined together for reflection.
Thank you to the Horsmonden Nostalgia Society for inviting children in Year 6 to view their collection of WWII memorabilia. The children had a fantastic morning looking at the display and particularly enjoyed the quiz!
Dear Parents Thank you to everyone who attended Parent Consultations last week, it was fantastic to see so many parents engage in the process to find out more about their child’s learning. Huge congratulations to our four Year 6 ‘risk-takers’ who made their swimming gala debut today! Competing against 13 other LAT Primary Academies, they were brilliant ambassadors for Leigh Academy Horsmonden and swam their way to the backstroke and relay finals!

Since then we’ve received a number of thank you notes complementing the children on their manners and behaviour, which shows how much they enjoyed meeting the […]
Congratulations to our Year 2 Football Team for their winning performance against Capel Primary. Our brilliant boys were fantastic and won 14-1! They showed great teamwork, determination and skill throughout the entire game. Thank you to all the amazing coaches from Football Fivestar who made this possible. Go Team Horsmonden!

Both teams were amazing and successfully created two tasty, balanced meals, but the dish that was voted the favourite was created by ‘The Red Chilli Team!’ It was such […]
Year 5 enjoyed baking ‘Anglo-Saxon style bread’ as part of their inquiry into communities and how they evolve over time. Looking at some of their loaves, it seems there might be some future bakers in the class!
A huge thank you to our amazing PTA FoHPS for organising our first ever Colour Run! It was fantastic to see the children (and staff!) having so much fun and getting absolutely covered in colour. Thank you, too, to all the parents for embracing the event and supporting us to raise money for the school. […]
