Parent Update – 24/02

Dear Parents 

Welcome back to a brand-new term! It is hard to believe we are already at the halfway point of the school year. I would like to extend a sincere thank you to every parent who took the time to complete the annual Trust survey; your ongoing support and feedback are truly invaluable. Once I have finished a thorough analysis of the results, I look forward to sharing the full report with you. This will be an opportunity to celebrate our collective successes and outline any specific actions we plan to take moving forward.

World Book Day – Thursday 5th March

On Thursday, 5th March, we will celebrate World Book Day by inviting children to come to school dressed as their favourite book characters. Throughout the day, children will participate in various character-themed activities designed to foster a lifelong love of reading and storytelling.

In keeping with our annual tradition, FoHPS is excited to host the popular Willy Wonka chocolate bar fundraiser. Bars are priced at £2.50 each and will be available for pre-order on MCAS starting later today. Please note that all orders must be placed by Monday, 2nd March and because the chocolate is ordered in advance, we are unable to accommodate any late requests. For children with dairy or soy allergies, “free-from” chocolate bars will also be available.

To make the event even more magical, twelve winning tickets have been hidden inside selected bars: six Golden Tickets and six plain tickets. If your child is lucky enough to find one, they should visit the school office to claim a prize for themselves and possibly their class too. Children attending after-school clubs on the day of the event may collect their prizes the following morning.

Fabulous Females – Friday 13th March, drop in between 2:15pm – 3:00pm

We warmly invite all the fabulous females in our community to join us at school on Friday, between 2:15 pm and 3:00 pm, to celebrate Mother’s Day. We welcome mothers, or any other significant female figure in a child’s life, to participate in a special activity with their child. 

Parent Consultations – Wednesday 25th and Thursday 26th March, 3:30pm – 6:00pm

Our second round of Parent Consultations will take place on 25th and 26th March and appointments will be 10 mins long. Parents will have the opportunity to discuss their child’s learning, progress and areas for development. You will also be able to look through their Maths, Skills and Inquiry books. Parents will be informed as to whether their child is working towards, at or above the level of attainment expected for their age. To book an appointment, parents will need to use the ‘Parents Evening’ section of MCAS and more information about when bookings will open will follow in due course. Please note that the only clubs running on the evenings of Parent Consultation will be Football Club for KS2 on Wednesday and Premier After School Club on both days.
