Year 3 ShelterBox Fundraiser

Students in a classroom holding up their artwork and smiling

As part of the inquiry into the theme ‘How the World Works’ in Year 3, children took action and chose to raise money for the charity ShelterBox. This followed them learning about volcanoes and earthquakes, as well as how devastating the effects can be from natural disasters. They created their very own art gallery where they showcased their artistic skills as well as their baking skills. Parents were invited in to purchase pieces of art and freshly baked cakes. The whole afternoon raised £175 for ShelterBox who provide emergency shelter for families affected by disasters. Great job Year 3!
