Dear Parents
It’s that time of year again where we turn our heads towards the Summer Fair. Our fab FoHPS Committee is extremely busy behind the scenes getting everything ready for the big day. It is a mammoth task of logistics, volunteer management, risk assessment and organisation, and we desperately need YOUR HELP!
We are low on donations and still need the following items:
- Hampers:

- Year R: Theme Art and Music
- Year 1: Theme BLUE
- Year 2: Theme YELLOW
- Year 3: Theme BLACK
- Year 4: Theme GREEN
- Year 5: Theme RED
- Year 6: Theme Art and Music
- Toys, but no books or jigsaws
- Random gifts, including alcohol
Please raid your cupboards at home and bring any items that fall into the categories above to the school office as soon as possible.
Starfish Malawi – Water Bottles / Shoe Boxes
Thank you to everyone who has already brought in items for our friends at Chapita Primary in Malawi. As a reminder, the Horsmonden Huddle have come up with 2 simple, cost neutral ideas of how we can help:
- To fill a water bottle with small toys/stationery items
- To fill a small shoe box with stationery items, small toys (box can be decorated if you wish)
The idea is that children can find a pre-loved water bottle (that is still fully functional) from home, or a small shoe box to fill with pre-loved toys, stationary or other small items that are still of good quality.
The container will ship at the end of May, so anyone wishing to donate should bring items into the school office by the deadline of Thursday 15th May. Please note we will be unable to accept donations after this date.
Own Clothes Day – Friday 9th May
In exchange for a bag of sweets, children are welcome to come into school wearing non school uniform on Friday 9th May. All bags of sweets will be used on the Sweetie Tombola at the Summer Fair.
After School Club
The main school office is open between 8:15am and 4:15pm. For any parents wishing to contact the After School Club after 4:15pm, please call the main school number and press option 2 for ‘Wraparound Care.’

- Wednesday 16th July – Year 6 Production, 2pm and 5:00pm
